Ongoing cases

Lucia Thor — Montevideo, Uruguay — Solar Urticaria & Delayed Pressure Urticaria — Ongoing Case

My first solar urticaria symptoms started in 2022, and later I also developed delayed pressure urticaria. Over time, the condition became extremely limiting and emotionally exhausting.

Simple daily activities such as walking outdoors or being exposed to sunlight for short periods of time could trigger intense reactions, redness, overheating sensations, and severe discomfort. For a long time, I stopped enjoying normal activities and even avoided going to the beach during the summer because of fear and uncertainty about my symptoms.

Before developing urticaria, I had already gone through many years of emotional stress, family difficulties, and constant emotional pressure, which slowly affected my emotional balance and overall wellbeing.

While searching for answers and support, I came across Luis Monteiro and started following his Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment program. Although I am still in the early stages of treatment, I have already started noticing important improvements, especially through dietary changes and lifestyle adjustments.

For the first time in years, I was finally able to return to the beach during summer and enjoy the sun, the sea, and time outdoors again — something that once felt impossible for me.

I still know I have a path ahead, but being able to experience these moments again has given me hope, motivation, and confidence that I am moving in the right direction.

I truly hope everyone struggling with urticaria can continue improving and recovering their quality of life step by step.

A big hug from Uruguay.
