My first major cholinergic urticaria crisis started around 2016/2017, during a very emotionally difficult and unstable period of my life.
For many years, I lived under constant emotional pressure, family conflicts, anxiety, insecurity, and psychological stress. Over time, this environment deeply affected both my emotional wellbeing and my physical health.
As the urticaria became stronger, everyday situations started becoming increasingly difficult. Heat, emotional stress, anxiety, and daily activities could easily trigger intense itching and reactions, which slowly began limiting my life and affecting my confidence and motivation.
After hearing about Luis Monteiro, I decided to begin his Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment program. Throughout this process, he helped me better understand the emotional and physical roots connected to my symptoms through emotional guidance, diet, Chinese phytotherapy, and acupuncture.
The improvements over time have been enormous.
Two months ago, I underwent gallbladder surgery, and even after the procedure, my urticaria remained under control. Today, I only experience very mild and almost imperceptible reactions in situations involving extremely intense heat or strong sun exposure. In daily life, I practically feel nothing.
Even when small symptoms appear, they no longer interfere with my quality of life. Compared to how I was before treatment, the improvement feels immeasurable.
At the beginning of last year, I registered for the ENEM national university exam in Brazil, even though at the time I felt emotionally exhausted and believed my urticaria would prevent me from attending. As my symptoms improved, I slowly regained confidence and motivation to study again.
Today, I can proudly say that I earned a full scholarship for a degree in Information Systems — an area I always dreamed of pursuing, but one that urticaria had prevented me from following for many years.
Throughout the last months, I have also gone through several food tests, family visits, celebrations, restaurant meals, and even free meals outside the diet, including foods like pizza, McDonald’s, and Burger King. The result was incredible: no worsening of symptoms and no major reactions.
Today I feel much more confident, emotionally stronger, and hopeful about the future. I still have some imbalances to improve, but the results so far have completely changed my life.
What Luis did for me is immeasurable. He helped me find direction, hope, and the possibility of rebuilding my life again.
I also want to thank my girlfriend and my mother for supporting me throughout this entire process and helping me continue moving forward even during the hardest moments.
Do not give up. Improvement is possible.
