My first cholinergic urticaria symptoms started in 2023, during a period of major emotional pressure, uncertainty, and personal change.
Before developing urticaria, I had already gone through several emotionally difficult situations involving family conflicts, separation from loved ones, adaptation to a new country, and the constant pressure of trying to build a new life away from home. Over time, the emotional burden became overwhelming and slowly started affecting both my emotional wellbeing and my physical health.
As the condition progressed, everyday situations became increasingly difficult. Heat, stress, emotional tension, and physical activity could trigger reactions that affected my confidence, comfort, and quality of life. Like many people who arrive at treatment, I felt frustrated, discouraged, and desperate to find a solution.
When I started treatment with Luis Monteiro, one of the biggest challenges was adapting to the dietary recommendations and lifestyle changes. In the beginning, everything felt difficult and unfamiliar. I remember telling my husband almost every day that I could not wait to finish treatment and put this condition behind me.
However, as the weeks passed and I started seeing changes in my health, both physically and emotionally, everything became easier. The improvements gave me motivation, confidence, and the determination to continue.
One of the most important parts of this journey was not only the diet and Chinese phytotherapy, but also the weekly conversations with Luis. During difficult moments, doubts, setbacks, and victories, he was always there to guide and support me. That emotional support became an essential part of my recovery process.
As my health improved, my relationship with life changed as well. This experience taught me how quickly life can change and how important it is to value health, wellbeing, and the people who support us through difficult times.
The symptoms disappeared completely and Luis closed my case.
Today I feel free from the condition that once affected every aspect of my daily life.
I can go on holiday, spend time at the beach, swim in the sea, exercise, eat normally, and enjoy life without limitations.
Looking back, I am incredibly grateful for everything I learned throughout this process and for everyone who was part of this journey.
Seeing the progress of other patients, sharing experiences, finding motivation during difficult days, and celebrating victories together made a huge difference along the way.
I would like to thank every member of the group and, above all, Luis Monteiro for all the support, dedication, and guidance throughout this journey.
To everyone still going through treatment: keep going. Trust the process, stay consistent, and do not give up. The effort is worth it.
